For the last decade I have been designing learning experiences as adjunct business college professor. Business courses include:
finance, accounting, macroeconomics, human resources, management, ethics, and leadership.

I started my career as a security analyst for a small buy-side firm money management firm in Delaware. I then moved to California to work as Assistant Corporate Affairs Advisor for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System. My work continued into the field of investor relations and corporate finance at The Money Store, where I became Assistant Corporate Secretary in addition to AVP Finance Administration. After helping sell The Money Store, as due diligence coordinator for the sale, I became Director of Investor Relations for a wholesale distributor in the music and video industry, Valley Media, where I participated in the company’s IPO. I left Valley Media prior to them filing under Chapter 7 of the US Bankruptcy Code. I had one more corporate position in investor relations at Incyte Corporation, a biotech in Wilmington, Delaware.

My educational credentials include an MBA from California State University at Sacramento, a BS in Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from the University of Delaware and a certificate in instructional design from the Online Learning Consortium and Open SUNY. I’ve also completed the Alternative Routes to Teaching Certification in the state of Delaware. I’m a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, and the Financial Management Association Honor Society.
